2015 wrap up

2015 wrap up

Usually around this time of year I put some time aside to do my annual year-end ritual and also get really clear on my intentions for the coming year.  Check out my process here

However, I have been feeling some resistance about sitting down and actually doing it this year. Part of me has been feeling a lot of pressure as there’s only a couple weeks left in the year and I was still holding out for something big to happen. 2015 was the year of reward and abundance after all, so where is it???

Light and Dark

Light and Dark

This idea of embracing your dark side has been coming up for me a lot lately. Spirituality isn’t about allowing only the good parts of you to come through. It’s about being fully and authentically yourself, including the side of you that may not always be accepted and is susceptible to judgment or criticism. It is your shadow self that holds the key to who you are at your core, the good and the bad. The vulnerable parts of you, where your inner truest passions live, what you are willing to fight for and what pushes you to keep showing up even through the toughest times.

Back to School Energy

Back to School Energy

As the summer begins to wind down, I start to feel the anticipation and excitement for Fall. It’s that ‘back to school’ mentality that truly gets me motivated and ready for a fresh start. There is definitely an energy behind it that resonates with me deeply. I always loved shopping for new school supplies, my first day of school outfit, Fall clothes, colors and accessories… to this day; I still feel that same energy.

2015: the year of reward.

2015: the year of reward.

As I sat down to create my life theme for the year, I began reflecting on the lessons that kept popping up for me in 2014. Where did I need to go deeper? Where was I still playing small? What challenges am I being guided to confront head on? There was a recurring centering thought that I noticed. In October 2014 I launched my business, laid the foundation, then sat back and waited. Not sure what I was waiting for. I guess I thought things would start to magically just take off. I mean, I fought through the resistance, insecurity and fear to finally put my idea out to the world. So shouldn’t that be enough to get the momentum really going?? Wrong! That was playing it way too safe. Now it’s about to get real.
